How You Can Get a Bigger Penile Length Naturally
If you’ve spent time thinking about how to grow your penis, you’re not alone. There have been numerous medicines, exercises, and tools presented as solutions for penis length and girth for thousands of years. Men remain as convinced as their ancient ancestors that size matters, and many have pursued penile enlargement through untested methods despite the potential risks.
If you’re looking for ways to increase the length of your penis, you may want to get a full understanding of all the options. In this short guide, you’ll learn what doesn’t work, what real ways to increase your size work (but only during early life stages), and what treatments are available to address specific issues like length.
Let’s start by looking at what doesn’t work. These treatments may be dangerous or just ineffective at penile lengthening, but many of them are still passed on through word of mouth.
What Doesn’t Work (Or Doesn’t Produce Results)
In recent years, scientists have been able to test most of the male enhancement treatments that go back into history. We have a lot of data about what treatments don’t produce measurable results.
Remember, this data doesn’t say these treatments are made up or that ancient societies didn’t have good reasons to believe these practices. These tests just show that the practices don’t produce results that can be measured within the boundaries of the experiments.
Penis Enlargement Foods
There are no penis enlargement foods that have been confirmed through testing. You may have heard of the benefits of avocado or other foods, but there is no scientific evidence that any food can increase penis size, particularly after adult growth has finished.
Certain foods are recommended because they contain vitamins or minerals that help the body heal from conditions that cause erectile dysfunction. For example, leafy greens contain nitrates that reduce blood pressure and inflammation. Several studies have found that whole grains reduce erectile dysfunction as part of a consistent diet.
On the other hand, there is a significant amount of evidence that the wrong foods can cause erectile dysfunction. Fried foods (and other high-fat meals), sugar, and alcohol are all known to cause problems with erectile function. For example, some health problems related to fried foods can impede the function of blood vessels in the penis, reducing the effective length and girth.
Stretches
Despite years of claims, there is not any research that shows stretching exercises like jelqing to be effective. If stretches improved length, the increased size would be easy to prove over time, but stretches have not yielded results in any test.
There may be a reason that these and other beliefs persist. Many men believe stretching is effective because they encountered and experimented with these practices during adolescence, when it is easy to confuse natural growth with the effects of effort.
Tests on these practices are only performed on adults who have completed their growth, so any growth can be isolated to the test. In these conditions, stretching doesn’t seem to have any effect.
Pills and Topicals
There are no supplements or topicals that have been shown to increase adult size after typical growth years have passed. There are drug treatments that can increase penis growth by increasing testosterone levels during growth years. However, that is a medical treatment that is typically applied in cases where the normal growth of the sex organ has been impeded by low testosterone or other issues.
Other than that limited-window option, there is no known method to increase the size of the penis naturally. Managing issues like Peyronie’s disease, micropenis, or dissatisfaction with size will require medical treatments and technology.
Tools or Devices
No tool or device has been proven to increase the length of the penis safely. These devices have been around for hundreds of years and have involved such unnerving parts as pressure chambers and large springs.
A number of the devices that are now banned from use cause sexual dysfunction, blood flow problems, low sperm count, and other medical issues. You should speak to your doctor and get medical advice before using any penis pump or other extender device. Many of these devices can make sexual function issues worse.
What Does Work to Increase Penile Length?
There are a number of existing treatments that can increase penile length. These treatments target different areas to create a more visible or usable length for your penis. As you’ll learn below, the overall length of your penis can be improved in several different ways:
Injectable Fillers for Length
Fillers are a recent and relatively noninvasive treatment for length. Small molds made from silicon are injected. When these treatments are part of treatment plans, they are injected in series to create a shape planned out with your doctor.
To create the look and feel of a longer penis, the fillers are usually injected all around the penis. This balances the look and ensures that the new length appears natural. The visible length can be increased by 1 to 2 inches using this method, as skin is pushed out from the base by the placement of the fillers.
Suspensory Ligament Release
This is a light surgical procedure that involves the severing of a ligament to increase erect length. The ligament that is cut typically prevents the full extension of the penis. The length that can be recovered from this procedure depends on how much the ligament affects you and your body.
Treatments That Resolve Medical Conditions
Micropenis enlargement is possible, even in your adult years. Men’s health doctors use a number of treatments to create a natural look for the shaft, scrotum, and glans. All of these areas can be targeted as part of a treatment plan.
Peyronie’s disease is a common condition affecting as many as one in 11 men. Peyronie’s disease causes a significant bend or pain in some men. This can prevent you from having sex or might make it difficult to get or maintain an erection (erectile dysfunction). For many men, Peyronie’s disease also causes mental health problems and anxiety.
Hormonal Treatments in Youth
During the developmental and growing years of puberty (from about 13 to 18 years of age), there are elevations and changes in testosterone levels. When testosterone elevates or has heightened peaks, changes occur. If the expected testosterone elevations do not occur, the genitalia (penile shaft and glans size) will not develop or increase.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, supplemental testosterone injections can help increase the penile size. Testosterone treatments, once started, will cause the genitalia and penis size to grow to the normal adult size. If this window of opportunity is missed between the ages of 13 and 18, then this type of therapy will not work (in most cases).
